Description

This ground-pounding 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 R/T Tribute is a beautifully built Mopar with real presence. The handsome, straight lines of these big two-door cars have aged remarkably well; with their dynamic, angular styling and wonderful detailing, they capture the spirit of the '60s and wear it proudly. This Coronet has been beautifully refinished in Larkspur blue with rechromed trim, giving the car a fresh feel while preserving its unmistakable classic look. Under the hood, the original 318 CID V8 has been replaced by a stout 440 CID V8 backed by a smooth-shifting 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission, providing plenty of on-demand power for the open highway. The engine wears a host of upgrades, including long-tube headers flowing through a dual exhaust with electric cutouts, an Edelbrock intake, a Holley Sniper EFI system, a Borgeson steering box, an MSD distributor with MSD ignition, an aluminum Engineered Cooling Products radiator, and Mopar Performance valve covers. The 8 3/4-inch Posi-trac rear end has been upgraded with 3.92 gears for strong, dependable launches. The front bucket seats have been redone in bright white vinyl with contrasting black door panels, carpet, and headliner, all complemented by a new dashboard. Driver amenities include a center console, a floor-mounted shifter, updated LED lighting throughout, power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, and a Vintage Air system with cold A/C and hot heat. The car carries a nice, raked stance and rides on super-cool 15-inch Vision Legend 5 wheels in gunmetal gray with a machined lip, wrapped in raised-white-letter 235/70 radial T/A tires, with a full-sized spare in the trunk. A wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer with auxiliary gauges that include coolant temperature, fuel level, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and alternator charge, while below the radio sit additional gauges for oil pressure and vacuum, along with a Holley EFI screen monitor.
